Guide
Choosing who to invite
Names first, with one specific reason each. Nobody gets messaged yet.
Every invitation into Encounter starts with a person, chosen for a reason you can actually name. Start here: write down three names and one specific reason each person came to mind. We practiced this in Málaga. If you missed it, the training is in the Encounter Community.
Good reasons are specific
"She'd love it" is a guess. "She keeps saying she wants to travel with friends again" is a reason. Specific reasons tell you which part of Encounter to mention first, and they make the invitation sound like you.
Your five minutes
Make it yours
- Who's the first person who came to mind when you joined?
- What do you know about what they care about right now?
- Is there a place, a goal, or a conversation you share with them?
For example: “Marta: she keeps saying she wants to travel more with friends and less on work trips. Dev: he's building his own business and always asks good questions.”
Don't decide for them
Your job is to choose people you'd enjoy and say why. Whether Encounter fits is their decision.
